Gerard & Kelly Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by the artists Brennan Gerard and Ryan Kelly to innovate a model for 21st century art production.
Gerard & Kelly Foundation builds dynamic partnerships with museums, galleries, festivals, universities and other institutions to produce interdisciplinary projects. The Foundation incubates new work outside of market pressures and ensures living-wage work standards for the artists and performers involved in the creation of projects. Through the performances and installations it produces, the foundation expands public access to the creative process and promotes the production of discourse around contemporary issues impacting society.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors: Clelia Peters, President; Mickey Dobbs, Treasurer; Jon Hutton, Secretary; and Luca Borghese, Randall Bourscheidt, and Edna Harel. The Administrator is Sara Murphy, who can be reached directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gerard & Kelly’s 2016-2017 projects are made possible in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and with the support of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. General Operating support is made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts with funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Additional support provided by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States as part of DANSE, a four-year program (2014–18) dedicated to contemporary dance exchanges between France and the United States.
