CLOCKWORK
The score structures an intimate encounter between two performers in which one keeps time while the other uses the choreography of a clock to recount memories related to the hours of the day. The choreography revolves around a set of gestures corresponding to the position of numbers on a clock’s face (12 is in front of you, 6 is behind). Over time, the performance embodies a metronomic, meditative quality, connecting space and memory to temporalities outside of modern clock time.
