Gerard & Kelly Foundation is the engine behind Gerard & Kelly’s artistic production, supporting the creation of new work at the intersection of performance, visual art and film. Founded in 2003 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Foundation supports deliberately discipline-defying, frontier-crossing projects through artistic residencies and co-productions, creating sustainable environments for artistic growth and expanding public access to the creative process.

Projects produced by the Gerard & Kelly Foundation are made possible through the generous support of a broad network of public and private funders. The Foundation is currently collaborating with the Doris Duke Foundation (New York), the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (New York), VIA Art Fund (New York), For Freedoms (New York), and the New England Foundation for the Arts (Boston) on the development of new works in performance, film, and exhibition.

Additional support has been provided by municipal and regional arts councils, including the New York State Council on the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. The Foundation is also proud to partner with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and a dedicated network of individual donors whose contributions sustain our programs and help broaden access to contemporary art for audiences of all backgrounds.
