THE FAMILY IS A SYSTEM OF REGENERATION
A system of folding screens, The family is a system of regeneration models in scale and materials the canvas walls of the Schindler House, arguably the first modern house ever built. R.M. Schindler designed his home as a two-couple commune to shelter himself, his wife Pauline, and Marion and Clyde Chase. The abstract choreographic score, painted on the screens, records a timeline of dancers’ movements through the house in a performance choreographed by Gerard & Kelly.
